The Old Wentworth Gaol is the oldest of the Australian designed gaols. It was built during 1879-1881 and operated until 1927. Now welcomes visitors to experience Gaol life from the inside.

Supplied for a great photo are prison & guard uniforms. Inside the Gaol are the stocks, whipping stool & rack, lots of shackles. View the Morrison and Nanya collections. Of all old Gaols in Australia, it is the Wentworth Gaol that is acknowledged as the one in its best original condition.
